Abstract:
This bachelor’s thesis examines the technical and legal challenges in integrating Solid into the credit management process, with particular consideration of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The aim of the thesis is to design a Business to Business (B2B) credit management process that meets the requirements of the Privacy by Design principles. The investigation includes a systematic literature analysis consisting of a technical and legal assessment of the relevant stakeholders as well as the Solid architecture. Based on the results of the literature analysis, the B2B credit management process is developed and evaluated using the Design Science Research method. The results show that the integration of Solid can potentially improve data protection, transparency, and control over sensitive company data. However, there are still deficits in authentication and authorization, especially in the processing of personal data. Both topics are currently being intensively researched to achieve full compliance with the GDPR.
